HOT STUFF!!!

Of course, Barry's favorite present was the bright red union suit complete with custom embroidery that reads "hot stuff!"

Barry Turns 31!

We traveled to Utah the day before Barry's 31st birthday (Dec. 22), so he got to celebrate in Hansen style. Here is the famous oreo cake that Shanda and I made for him and his excitement over the expected $4.00 from my Grandma Nielson (who had just turned 99!)

Another Family Christmas Shot

This one is from the ward party. The trouble is that I was singing in a choir concert and couldn't be there. Of course, I had stayed at the church super late the night before helping with the photo backdrop.

Family Christmas Picture?

I was hoping to take a festive family picture to post on the blog as a Christmas greeting. Well, it's only February, now, and these pictures bear witness to how easy it is to get a good family picture.

1) Not too bad except Trenton

2) Digging for gold

3) Look! It's the ice cream truck!

Christmas Clothes

My mom made this dress for Kira for the holiday season. (She is still trying to wear it in Feb.)

Performing Kira

We had a really busy holiday season this year. Not only was I busy with choir performances every week, but Kira had quite the busy performance schedule. The first picture shows her in her singing performance (she's at the mic on the left side). The other two are from her dance recital. She also had a holiday concert at school. We've decided we all need to cut back in '07!

Happy Thanksgiving!

Our family decorated the kids table for our big Harrop family Thanksgiving in Mesa, this year.

The toy shelf

In November, my parents and Marenda and Addie came for a quick visit. While they were here we got a new toy shelf from IKEA. We had so much help assembling it!

After Soccer Party

Kira is so proud of her trophy. Cousin Addie (Marenda's daughter) was here for a visit. She enjoyed the merry-go-round. Trenton and his Dad enjoyed the arcade.

Soccer

It took most of the season for Kira to pay more attention to the ball than she paid to the grass and the dirt, but by the last couple of games, Kira was really getting in on the action. She really liked being goalie and had a couple of good saves.

Pioneer Friends

Kira's close friend, Halle was also a pioneer. They had fun playing together after the potluck.

United Nations Day

Kira's school had a parade and potluck to celebrate United Nations Day. Students were instructed to wear a costume that reflected their heritage, so we put her in the pioneer outfit Barry's mom made for her girls years ago. Trenton came along wearing the Chinese outfit Papa & Lita brought for him (from China) and Kira decided he needed to be part of the parade. (He only slowed things down a little bit. :-))

At the Firestation!

Firefighter Trenton

Shortly after Halloween, Trenton and some of his buddies took a field trip to the firestation. It was his idea that he needed to wear his costume. They got new hats and badges there. Trenton mostly wanted to drive each vehicle at the station.

Trenton trouble

Notice the wet shirt.

Two-year-old Trenton

Trenton was not going to cooperate for very traditional pictures. All of these show his personality. Do you want a flower?

Crazy Kira

These pictures show what her personality is really like (notice the attitude in the second one!).

Magical Kira

I love these pictures of Kira.

The Grown-ups

This August marked seven years of marriage for us! Where has the time gone?
