It's Ours!

The title company called and said that they were able to record title at 11:00am, so the home is now officially ours! I had a few requests for more pictures. I'm sure more will follow as we get moved in.

This is the fireplace from the family room.

We are going to be the warmest family in AZ! This is the fireplace in the master bedroom.

One of the main selling points for us. This pantry/mudroom is even bigger than it looks in the picture. We are so excited about food storage, now!

The outside has been neglected for a little while, but is landscaped, and won't need too much work at this point.

We are excited, but still quite stressed as we prepare to move on Sat. and square things away with our renter. (Then travel to Utah!) Anybody want to come and pack a box, or borrow my children for a while??? :-)

Jeff and Ashleigh said...: Hooray!!! Seriously. Good for you! You're only about a week behind us. We moved in just this Saturday (June 21). Now it's unpacking and organizing galore. But organizing a brand new house that is all mine is so incredibly exciting and fulfilling despite the enormous amount of work and energy it requires. Bob and Danya said...: You have a fireplace in the bedroom! The people who picked all the stuff for that house certainly went all out! That was a pricey option (which is why we don't have one.....and, it's Phoenix. Just looking at that makes me feel hot)! LOL! It will be nice and romantic in the winter though!

Good luck with your move! Wish I could help you out, but I'll wave to you in Utah. We'll be up there too. I hope you LOVE your new house! That's soooo exciting that it's all yours! Congrats!

Meet the Haltermans

2011 finds us as a family of six and as busy and crazy as ever. Barry continues working at Clear Creek Associates, which we consider to be a tremendous blessing, given the current state of the economy. Barry is serving in the Stake Young Men's Presidency, and I am in the ward Primary Presidency at church. Besides being busy with a new baby and his brother and sisters, I am teaching Let's Play Music Classes, and blogging about my creative endeavors at meandmyinsanity.blogspot.com. Kira (9) is enjoying drama club this year. She has read more books thank I probably have in my life. She's learning the keyboard quickly in music class. She was asked to give a speech at the ribbon cutting ceremony for the new building at her school. Trenton (6) is adjusting to 1st grade and homework. He has suddenly become an excellent reader. He has a gift for music, but not a gift for following directions. *sigh* He still plans on being a scientist and is full of all the imagination and energy that a 6 year old can have. Tessa (3) has recently taken up hairstyling. She is responsible for the short hair do she is sporting now. She loves preschool, dance class, and attending music class (even though she isn't old enough). She's a little computer addict and will play Dora all day, if we let her. She's quite the artist on paper and on walls. She likes to write "T's" for Tessa on everything. She is a sweet big sister to Alec. Alec (8 mos.) is a mover and a shaker! He is exhibiting the same determination as his siblings in learning to get around. He is really a delightful baby! My only complaint is that sleeping is at the bottom of his priority list. He loves people and makes friends wherever we go.
