Election Time

So...as far as I can tell, I don't get to vote in Tuesday's primary elections, since I am registered as an independent. Perhaps it is just as well because I keep vacilating between a couple of candidates. At any rate, I believe in the democratic process and encourage all who can to take the opportunity to cast a vote. If you are still undecided--or even if you aren't--I found this Candidate Match Game at USA Today, rather insightful, to see where the candidates stand on each issue, and to see how closely they align with you.

Kendra, this is from the az website and it looks as if you can vote but only on either the Democratic or Republican ballot. You will have to check and see for sure but that is what it looks like.

In Utah you have to be a registered republican to vote in th republican primaries but unaffiliated registered voters can vote in the democratic primary.

I hope you are able to vote if I read the az rules correctly. My biggest worry is how to manage fitting voting in with two children to haul along. We'll see.

Good luck,

Marenda

I have been debating between a couple as well. Although I believe in the democratic process, I try not to get too caught up in politics. Just another thing I really don't want to mess with. This has been an intersting year to say the least though. I am very curious to see what happens.

I took about 10 of those quizzes a few weeks back, and without fail my matches were Fred Thompson, Duncan Hunter & Mitt Romney. They would switch places, but they were always the top 3. At least I'm consistent! But now that Thompson and Hunter are out, I'm left with one...

So, Marenda, I read the website, and nearly tried to go down to vote, but the voting information Barry recieved said that you had to be affiliated with a party for this election. Later on the news, they reported that several independents had been give ballots, but that they would not be included in the election. Glad I didn't go through all of the effort to get to the polls! Still a bummer that I didn't get to vote, though.
